Baked Brie In Puff Pastry With Jam

The holiday season means spending time with family. In this video, I will show you how to make an Easy Holiday Appetizer, a Brie En Croute Recipe. We are going to bake brie in a puff pastry.

Brie En Croute FAQ:

Do you take the rind off of brie cheese before baking?

A note about the rind: I did not cut the rind off prior to baking. It is completely digestible, and you don't notice it much when your brie is cooked. When I'm gobbling up brie unbaked, I sometimes cut off the rind simply because I don't enjoy it.

How do you eat brie en croute?

Brush the surface of the brie en croute with egg wash.

Include your favorite jam and nuts.

Wrap the brie en croute in a puff pastry.

Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. Cool and serve: Move brie en croute to an uncontaminated work surface or serving plate and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. Serve with fruit crackers and artisanal bread.

Can you reheat brie en croute?

Heating Leftover Brie En Croute.  If you have leftovers, you can loosely cover it in aluminum foil and heat it in a 350 ° F oven for about 10 to 15 minutes until the brie is runny again and the puff pastry is hot.
